Description

Hotel Saratoga 5*

The Hotel opened the door for some prominent visitors since the remarkable Inn reopened in 2005, including the incredible guitarist Jimmy Page and pop phenomenon Beyoncé.

The Hotel Saratoga voted one of the areas top hotels by Condé Nast Traveler, quickly picking up a notoriety for being the hip spot to stay in Havana and not just for its high-profile demographic: this is living evidence that global benchmarks for extravagance can be met, kept up and even enhanced, in Cuba.

The building initially developed in 1879 and extended somewhere around 1915 and 1925. Opposite the Park of Fraternity and the incredible cigar factory of Partagas and the remarkable Capitol.

Inside the Hotel, visitors enjoy its amenities, including the wine and tapas bar, the luxury restaurant Anacaona; the Deluxe Patio rooms have not this internal yard.

The Saratoga sets the standard for pools of this kind; with excellence. Mixed drinks at nightfall very recommended.

4.4 "Style in Havana"

Only stayed one night as they were fully booked earler in our trip. First floor room with balcony overlooking the square. Room was extremely comfortable, with execellent facilities includng free (and permanent) wifi which seems quite rare in Havana. Some noise in view of room location but that is the Havana experience! The whole place just exudes style, and I personally found the staff to be extremely efficient and helpful. Food and drink a tad more expensive than, say, Parque Centrale but everything else more than compensates in my view. From patull0 London, United Kingdom Stayed November 2015, travelled as a couple

4.0 "Lovely hotel in a gorgeous location"

Cuba is a fascinating place.. still realy untouched the polished hand of luxury tourism.. The Saratago is a little the same. Beautiful building, helpful service - everything is absolutley fine..but does not ooze luxury. Having had a look around Havana though - for me its the only place to stay. We saw a few Hollywood faces in the bar - which means if its good enough for them.. Rooms are of a generous side, beds comfortable and the internet is free and pretty reliable. Breakfast is good - go for the freshly prepared - much tastier.. Its expensive for what it is, but demand for 5 star outstrips supply so not suprised. Lunch on the roof top is a lovely little spot. Its a fascinating city! So put on the Panama hat, hire the Chev and enjoy the ride! From miak008 London, United Kingdom Stayed November 2015, travelled as a couple
