Recently stayed at the Blau Costa Verde and had a great stay. The room was well air conned and very spacious. There is some rooms in the old building and more modern ones in the new builds. The new builds were a bit of a walk from the buffet and lobby but not too far and a walk in the sun was nice. The staff were very friendly, greeting our coach with a drink. We were very happy with the food, lots of choice and always bringing out fresh food in the buffet. Really enjoyed the Cuban restaurant. Right on a nice beach, it's a little rocky so beach shoes may be wanted by some, it's not overly rocky though. It's about an hour to the airport and close to a local market. Stayed 11 - 25 Jan 2016 in room 6201 which overlooked the Italian / Pizza restaurant. If you don't want to walk far to the buffet block 5 and 6 are closest. European 2 round pin socket in bathroom. Resort is looked after and kept very clean but showing it's age in places. Food is good quality, variety OK, can get a little samey after 2 weeks, seemed quite a bit of pork but fish and chicken almost always available. Fresh pasta station. Bread usually not bad. Good selection of fresh fruit. Airline personnel eat here so it must compare favourably to other 2 hotels in the area. House wine usually Spanish sometimes Cuban not great but OK. Beer is typical lager weak and gassy. Staff work long hours, tips help. Had 1 week of 2 good weather, 32 C sunshine, a lot of rain 2nd week. Would stay again. From JayNottingham Nottingham.
