Hotel Villa Tortuga located on the quiet side street overlooking the main road at the entrance to Varadero, we find the Hotel; lush vegetation surrounds it, and this favours the relaxed atmosphere. Has an attractive terrace where the occupants can enjoy a coffee, espresso or cappuccino.
We found in the centre of our facilities the pool, which plays as the main attraction. Beside it a classic area with cold drinks and snacks. On the back, we find the fabulous and famous Varadero beach. We also have many other activities such as a pool table, and you can practice non-motorized sports.
We have three restaurants, two of which are a la carte, also in the village there are many more restaurants to choose from.
Villa Tortuga is a pleasant three-star hotel, close to the best beaches of Varadero.

3.6 "Was surprised by all the negative reviews !"

My friend and I visited this hotel last May and I must say with all the negative reviews I had read, I wasn't expecting much - but surprising, we had a very nice room overlooking the beach area - the service was impeccable, the staff was very nice and overall we had a very good stay. The food wasn't terrific, but it was good -- we ate our dinners at the sit-down restaurant most nites and the service was very good - very clear explanations were given; overall very hospitable. 4.4 "LOVED IT!!!"

I don't know what people expect... do you want a 1 star price for a 5 star product??? I was there the last week of April and from the staff I got nothing but the BEST kind of service! It is true that when I first got there the room was not what I had reserved but as soon as I notified the Reception of that they asked if I could wait to the following day and as true to their word... I got an awesome room. As far as food goes, it was not fantastic but it was quite good; forks, knifes, spoons etc., were not missing at all. All you had to do was ask the staff and they would give it to you with a beautiful smile. The negative people that say it is the worst... as far as I can tell they want to be kissed hand and foot and be arrogant with the staff. Treat everyone the way you want to be treated. I got nothing but good things to say about them. Did you ever hear that you rip what you saw??? This is one of those cases. If ever I go back to Cuba (because there are plenty of other places I want to visit) I will be going back to this beautiful, gracious little place. From BelainMtl Montreal, Canada.
