After reading the reviews on the Melia, I went thinking the worst, I'm sorry but I do not understand everyone's complaints, I found from the time we checked into the hotel the staff could not do enough for you, yes the rooms were tried and could do with an upgrade but these were clean and tidy and you only slept there!, the food you would not go hungry and was very varied, the freshly cooked fish and meats what can I say but yum! Tommy and Jorge at the pool bar were not only entertaining but could nothing was to much trouble. The beach is amazing one of the best I have ever been on golden sands, fishing was one of the reasons we choose this hotel, amazing and Sammy one of the life guards was full of useful information and advise. Must for anyone wanting to fish. We are looking to book this hotel again for next year, can't wait!! See you all soon. From Elizabeth N Haverhill, United Kingdom. had 2 weeks here recently,the hotel staff are great,the food was really good and the hotel grounds and pools are 5 star but the rooms are no more worthy than 3 stars,we dont like to complain but when you pay for 5 star and end up in a shoddy room then I feel complaining is justified,met some great people while staying here and have some happy memories and some nightmare memories but that was more to do with my holiday company rather than the hotel.
