We chose the Terral because of its location - directly on the Malecon facing the sea. We wanted to experience the to-ing and fro-ing of the vintage cars and other vehicles, the vast array of people walking, jogging, sauntering, socialising on the famous Malecon strip and watching anglers taking up their position on the wall before sunrise. All this we got from the balcony of our large 2nd floor room. Not a double bed but 2 queen size singles...excellent. Terral breakfast was more than filling - it included everything - eggs, bread, ham, fruit etc etc served by the attentive and pleasant waiter Maykal. We had dinner at the Terral on one evening - tasty, freshly prepared. Vladimir at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with information we required. We stayed at the Terral in October 2015 for 7 nights. All rooms over look the Malecon which was brilliant, Watching all the people and the beautiful old cars going up and down. The Terral staff were excellent, especially the room maid who made my boyfriends birthday special by making the room look beautiful! Thanks to the manager for the bottle of birthday rum too! The rooms are spacious and can be a little noisy with the traffic, but it didn't bother us and we slept fine. Breakfast is good and came with different options. I would definitely recommend the Terral, its in a good location if you don't want to be right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of old Havana, which is a 20 minute walk.
