Hotel Inglaterra is located on Paseo del Prado opposite Parque Central (Havana’s Central Park). A very important feature of this hotel is the Café the Louvre, where it’s been said that the freedom fighters planned and elaborated the liberation of Cuba from the colony. It’s also the first-ever hotel built in Cuba.
The famous people who have stayed in this colonial hotel are as Lord Winston Churchill among others.
Hotel Inglaterra’s terrace has got an excellent bar/barbecue, offers excellent views of Havana. During the day you can quickly lay back by the Jacuzzi and sunbeds in the solarium; during the evening, you will have to try a few cocktails while listening to its live Trio or Cuarteto singing a few of Cuba’s famous tunes.
