3.2 "Good location but.."

Yes, the hotel is right on the main square but it's used mainly by tour parties staying for one night so there seems little incentive for the staff to do more than the minimum. Fridge didn't work, no English TV, lighting only partly working - fairly typical Cuban standards really. From imacbeth leeds. Stayed December 2015, travelled as a couple.

3.6 "Okay. But understand you're in the interior of Cuba, not Havanna"

The hotel does not have an elevator, so I would not book a room beyond the second floor. I was sort of lucky; I was on the second floor. And what I don't understand, the stairs from the first to second floor are very steep and they only have one very narrow hand railing! There has to have been some accidents over the years. And I bet you wouldn't want to go past the second floor anyway, because water pressure on the second floor was negligible. The room was small, but clean. Very basic. Breakfast okay; I've had much better. You get what you pay for. Again, you are not in Havana. But the hotel is excellent in terms of location in central Bayamo. I suspect that this hotel will improve if and when a market economy comes to Cuba. From 694tiger New York City, New York. Stayed July 2015, travelled with friends.
