The impressive four-storey Hotel dates from 1914. It is a sample of the first varied design, however, maintains the classic wood structure, the building improved been in some points of interest.

What makes this hotel is the most beautiful still, are the outdoor spaces where guests can enjoy a coffee or a cocktail mixed locally while watching quietly spend time along the main road. 4.0 "Triple A-location"

Located between the Cathedral and the nightlife-district. You cannot get a better 'Santiago'-location in this swinging caribbean city. Have breakfast on the terrace with a perfect view on the square, where the first workers meet and greet the last partytigers. The ground floor, lobby, reception, restaurant are beauiful. Colonial style. The rooms are fine, without being luxurious. Use your room only to sleep!. From Robert Joost H Bussum, The Netherlands. Stayed December 2015, travelled as a couple.

3.4 "Avoid rooms facing Casa de la Trova if you want to go to sleep before 1 a.m."

We had a room on the fourth floor facing Casa de la Trova and much as we love salsa and Cuban traditional music, having to listen to it being performed very loudly until 1 a.m, and also with the music from the rooftop terrace of the hotel as well, is not really good if you suffer from jet lag and really need to go to bed early. That being said, the roof top bar is a very good place to relax, as is the terrace bar on the ground level. Also we got sandwiches and juice to take away when leaving very early MOnday morning to go to the bus station, very nice! The service very varied, very good at the roof bar, not so good at the reception. Excellent at breakfast. From LiseBB2014 Oslo, Norway. Stayed November 2015, travelled as a couple.
