Detailed itinerary:

 

Day 1: Havana Arrival – Cannon’s Gunshot ceremony in Old American Classic Car

 Arrival to Havana airport where you will be met by a local rep, transfer to your centrally located residence.

 Information meeting with your local guide on the private home.

 8:00pm transfer in an Old American convertible car to the fortress “San Carlos de la Cabaña” for the Cannon’s Gunshot ceremony at 9:00pm. Afterwards, you can enjoy the magical beauty of the city at night. Free time in that place to enjoy a drink.

 10:00pm Return to your private home accommodation where you will have dinner. Rest of the night at your disposal.

Day 2: Excursion to Vinales

7:30am Breakfast at the private home.

You will be picked up at 8:00 in the morning in the place where you will be staying. At first, a stopover in Soroa, a peaceful place in the hills of Sierra del Rosario, the botanical garden of the area houses over 700 species of orchids, 250 of them are endemic. The tour continues with a visit to a farmer’s house where you will learn the production of the tobacco, you will visit a tobacco plantation and a drying location. Enjoy a nice tobacco. The next stop will be in the Viewpoint Los Jazmines to see a unique landscape with its dramatic limestone flat topped mountains called “Mogotes”, gigantic karst formations that resemble sugar loaves, they  are like stone sentinels keeping watch over the corn of the tobacco fields, the red earth with majestic royal trees and the farmhouses with roofs of palm leaves.

The tour continues with a short visit to the Viñales’s downtown, a quiet and pleasant little town. Afterwards, you will visit  the Indian Cave, the first part of the tour here is on foot through tunnels with artificial lighting, then a small motorboat takes you up the underground of the San Vicente river for about a quarter of a mile. Lunch at a local restaurant. Next stop will be at The Prehistory Mural. On the face of a mogote the Cuban painter Leovigildo Gonzales, a pupil of the famous Mexican artist Diego Rivera, painted the history of evolution (1952-62), from Ammonites to Homo sapiens. The Mural was restored in 1980, making use of the cracks in the rock to create special effects of light and colour.  Return to your accommodation in Havana.

 Day 3: Excursion to Guama, Cueva de los Peces, Playa Girón and Cienfuegos on route to Trinidad

 7:30am Breakfast at the private home.

 Peninsula de Zapata is one of the most complete wildlife reserve in the Caribbean, rich in birds and animals, part of the area around the “Laguna Del Tesoro”, has been named “Gran Parque Natural de Montemar”.

 The first stop in this tour will be at Boca de Guamá where you will see the largest crocodile farm in Cuba which includes around 100,000 animals kept in separate pools according to size, age and species. Afterward you will visit Guama and its “Aldea Taína”, the villa consists of 18 huts standing on several small islands in the lagoon. Built of royal palm wood and thatched with palm leaves. The huts are supported on stilts and are connected to one another by hanging bridges or by canoe. In fact, the only way to reach this tourist village is by boat, which takes about 20 minutes to travel along the luxuriantly fringed canal to the lagoon from Boca de Guamá. Also of interest is the “Aldea Taína”, which occupies another of the islands in the lagoon. It comprises four earth “bohíos” (Typical Indian huts), a “caney” (a larger round building), and 25 statues of natives by the well-known Cuban sculptress Rita Longa. The figures form the “Batey Aborigen”, or native Indian square, and represent the few people who lived in the village.

The tour continues with a brief stop in the cave of fish, beautiful place consisting of a “cenote” with more than 70 meters of depth that their connection with the sea is still unknown. The place is full of fish of different sizes and colors.

The tour continues with the visit to the Giron Museum, which cover the Bay of Pigs invasion using photos, documents, weapons, a tank and the wreckage of aero-planes that took part in the last battle, as well as films taken during the invasion.  Later the trip will continue to Cienfuegos where you will enjoy a panoramic tour of this beautiful city designed by the French. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will arrive in Trinidad, a colonial city declared Word Heritage by UNESCO in 1988. The guide will transfer you to the place of accommodation, dinner included. Free time to enjoy the city.

 

Day 4: Sightseeing tour of the city of Trinidad plus Valle de Los Ingenios

 8:30am Breakfast at the private home.

 City tour of the historic center of Trinidad including the main squares, with tickets to the “Museo Romantico” and “Museo de la lucha contra los bandidos”, as well as the bar “La Canchanchara” where you will taste a well- known local drink. Lunch at local restaurant.

 In the afternoon departure to the Valley of the sugar mills, including a stop in the Valley view point, visit to “Manaca Iznaga” estate with its amazing Tower and visit to the “San Isidro” estate.    Return to your accommodation. Free night to enjoy the music of the city.

Day 5: Excursion to Sancti Spiritus and Santa Clara on route to Varadero.

 7:30am Breakfast at the private home.

 8:00 in the morning, departure to Sancti Spiritus, walking tour on the city center of Sancti Spiritus, including the main interesting places such as the Bridge over the Yayabo River, the Museum of Colonial Art, “La Iglesia Mayor” and the “Serafin Sanchez” park. The tour continues to Santa Clara where you will have a panoramic tour of the city and then will visit the Mausoleum of Che Guevara and the Armored Train Monument. Lunch at a local restaurant.

 After lunch we continue the tour towards Varadero. Arrival to the place where you will stay. Free time to relax. Dinner at private home.

 

 

Day 6: Varadero beach. Free time in Varadero beach.

Free time to enjoy Varadero beach. The Old American Classic car will be at your disposal to make a panoramic tour of the Varadero town. Lunch at a local restaurant. Free night.

 

Day 7: Transfer Varadero – La Habana. Walking Tour in Old Havana – At night a live band with “Buena Vista Social Club” musicians + dinner.
7:00am Breakfast at the private home. After breakfast departure to Havana. Accommodation in the private home.

 At 10:30 in the morning we begin the walking tour through Old Havana, which will included a visit to the 4 emblematic squares in that area. Starting from “Plaza de Armas” where you can see the statue of “Carlos Manuel de Cespedes”, father of the homeland. Also you will see “El Templete”, the place where the first chapter was and where the city has born. Then the tour continues along “Mercaderes” street, we will visit the mockup of Old Havana, the House of Chocolate,  arrive into “Plaza Vieja” where you will receive an explanation of one of the main  square of the city, then you will visit the “Camara Oscura” the high-point of the Old Square where you can see the Old Havana moving. Visit to “El Escorial” where we will taste a delicious Cuban coffee from the “Sierra del Escambray” located in the mountainous of the center of the country. Later we will visit the “Plaza de San Francisco” with its Lions fountain built by the sculptor Giuseppe Gaggini Italian and donated to the square by the Conde de Villanueva in the 1836.

 The tour continues with a visit to the Museum of rum on the Harbor Avenue. Later we will walk through all Harbor Avenue until “Plaza de la Catedral”, dominated by its elegant church, this square represents a symbol of the city of Havana and essential visit for anyone washing to learn about Havana. Very close to this square you will find “La Bodeguita del Medio” bar passage of the famous writer Ernest Hemingway, now converted into bar-restaurant where you can taste the Cuban cocktail:  “Mojito” in the style of the writer. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon free to recover energy.

 At 8:00 in the evening you will pick up by an Old American Classic car until the restaurant “El Guajirito” place where you can enjoy a Live Show with some of the famous  musicians of the Buena Vista Social Club, Orchestra that attracted the world’s attention with the  interpretations of traditional Cuban music and the legendary of its musicians at the end of the 90’s. Dinner included during the show. Return to the place of accommodation.

Day 8: Departure day – Free time in Havana.

8:30am Breakfast at the private home.

 Free time for shopping in Havana before the departure. Transfer out by an Old American Classic car.
